Alejandro Barnett is an exceptionally talented 17-year-old multi-instrumentalist, widely recognised for his remarkable abilities as a harpist, pianist, and guitarist. Recently, he achieved a significant milestone by winning the prestigious Elena Cobb Star Prize Festival on piano, which not only showcased his outstanding musical talent but also provided him with an incredible opportunity to perform at the renowned Royal Albert Hall, a venue celebrated for hosting some of the world's most esteemed musicians. Not long after, Alejandro had the privilege of returning to the Royal Albert Hall, where he collaborated with the South Yorkshire Orchestral Collective to deliver an engaging performance for the Music for Youth Proms 2024 event. With a solid foundation built over eight years as a dedicated member of the Sheffield Music Academy and Rotherham Music, Alejandro has not only meticulously honed his performance skills but also his composition and theory skills. His commitment to musical excellence is further demonstrated through his active participation in both the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra and the Rotherham Symphony Orchestra, where he collaborates with fellow passionate musicians. Additionally, Alejandro is involved with the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) Young Harps and Pathfinders programs and plays a vital role on the Youth Council for the RNCM, contributing to the development of future musical talents.
